About The Coos Singers

Our mission

The Coos Singers exist to make choral music together and to give it away. We bring singers of every level into one room each week, rehearse toward three concerts a year, and open every performance to the public at no charge. No auditions, no ticket prices, and no requirement to read music.

What we do

We rehearse on Monday evenings from 6 to 8pm through each term, then perform for our neighbors. Our repertoire runs from Broadway to Christmas carols in Swedish, and we often share the stage with other local groups. Members receive their sheet music and practice recordings through this website, and pay modest term dues that go toward music, our director, and our accompanist.

Who we are

We are teachers and doctors, students and retirees, neighbors who love to sing. Around 80 voices in a typical term. The choir was founded in January 2024 and is run by its own singers: an elected volunteer board, a paid artistic director, and a paid accompanist.
